Woburn was a leather tanning town for a long time, and the streets near the center still hold a lot of older housing. There are big wood-frame houses and plenty of multi-family homes, many with deep baseboards and wide window trim. Dust settles on every flat edge of that trim. On old windows it packs into the corners, where a quick wipe misses it. When we start with a new house, we slow down on the trim, because a room only looks clean when the edges do.

Each Woburn season brings in different dirt
